TERRITORY
In the overall panorama of Italian agriculture, the landscape designed by the cultivation of the vine has a fundamental importance and is already subject to protection.
An example could be the Prosecco area of Trevigiano, in Collio and Colli Orientali of Friuli or, as in the case of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, which are recognized as a World Heritage Sites.
This indicator was created to consider the landscape within the assessment of sustainability, as well as social and economic aspects. To this end, a set of qualitative and quantitative indicators were developed, capable of measuring the impact on the territory of the actions undertaken by the companies. The areas of analysis are biodiversity, landscape, society and community, with reference also to the economic impact on the territory and on the local community.
The main methodological references used are the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines GRI G 3.1.
