In Monticelli, in the southernmost part of the Euganean Hills Regional Park, where the hills suddenly rise from the plain, the Borin family has been cultivating vineyards since 1963; the company covers 37 hectares of property, of which about 30 are dedicated to the vineyard.
The structure of the vines has considerable variability: in the hilly areas it is composed of limestone flakes that sometimes cover volcanic nuclei of trachyte; in the foothills areas of marly and sandy materials.
The vineyards are flanked by olive groves, wonderful almond trees, acacia and chestnut woods and small Mediterranean plants such as dwarf prickly pear and broom.
